More than at any other time in pop culture history nerds/geeks & gamers are accepted by society. Gaming in some degree is extremely mainstream. Mario on iPhone; consoles selling millions each month. The film and tv industries are dominated and driven by comic book and super hero films.     Nerd culture is in full swing!

  6. An indie team behind the upcoming Nintendo Switch game Lichtspeer, hinted at the fact that Nintendo may be working on some type of achievement system for their newest system.
  7. Destiny 2 has had a concurrent 1.2 million players count across its servers. This number could rise dramatically once the game is released on PC.
  8. Apple unveils their new iPhone 8 series, as well as the new iPhone X.  The iPhone 8 starts at $699, and the iPhone X will cost a whopping $999.
  9. Game of Thrones will be filming multiple Season 8 Ending to attempt to combat leaks of its series finale. This is to combat leaks the series has been plagued with in the past.
  10. World of Warcraft developer Blizzard prepares for its annual convention, Blizzcon, and once again opens its doors to thousands of fans. The virtual doors are open too!  Those who cannot attend in person are able to purchase a virtual ticket which allows access to view all the panels, interviews, Q &A’s and more.  Each VR ticket is priced at $40.
