Fighting game fans rejoice this week, news for both Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite and Injustice 2!

  • MvC:Infinite released its second full trailer, showcasing storyline and revealing additional characters: Capcom: Hiryu from Strider, Chun-Li, Chris Redfield. Marvel: Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Rocket Raccoon and Ultron. 14 characters have now been revealed including Ryu, Morrigan, Mega Man X, Captain America, Iron Man and Captain Marvel.
  • The villain is Sigam and Ultron; fused together! This is one of the first times, the MVC “worlds collide” situation actually has a reason to make sense, story wise.
  • As our resident FGC gamer, How hyped did that trailer make you, Joshua, and what significance does it bring with Sigma being included.?
  • This will have a season pass with at least 6 additional playable characters and will allows for Sigma to be a playable character.
  • This releases September 19th. Good release date?

Injustice 2 reveals Gameplay for several characters and reveals Le Joker.

  • Gameplay was shown for Joker, Darkseid and Braniac.
  • It seems there are very few surprises left for them to reveal. Thoughts on them revealing so much of the game before it releases?

Nintendo announces a new addition to its handheld line up: The Nintendo 2DS XL

  • This console will come in at $150 and will essentially be a 3DS XL console (2 screens, closing hinged clamp design, with touch screen capabilities) but does not include the 3D feautures.
  • This seems to be a middle ground handheld in terms of pricing between the 2DS and 3DS console, but is it something that gamers will flock to?

DC TV vs Marvel Movies who is creating the better Universe?

  • DC has an extremely strong viewership with Arrow, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow with several  news shows like Titans on the way.
  • Marvel has a strong stable of Cinematic Universe with their Avengers and solo movies that haven’t really dropped the ball yet in either critical acclaim or box office success.
  • Both companies have had some struggles finding the success that they’d like in their rival groups main field.
  • Marvel has had some decent success with Agents of Shield but had disappointing results in Agent Carter (even though its fans really enjoyed it) and has found footing with the Netflix Defenders grouping of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist.
  • DC has had some issues with the acclaim of its first few DC Extended Universe but great success with its Straight to DVD films.
  • Which company has the better footing in terms of video media?

  1. Johnny Depp shocks and delights Disneyland goers by dressing in full Jack Sparrow ensemble and appears on several sections of the Pirates of the Caribbean boat ride as a marketing stunt for the upcoming movie.
  2. For Honor season 2 will introduce new maps, gear and two new warriors, the Shinobi and the Centurion.
  3. Nintendo America’s Reggie Fils-Aime released a statement that over 2.3 million NES Classics had been shipped worldwide before production was ceased.
  4. Atlus, the developers behind Persona 5, is loosening its strict streaming limitations due to massive negative fan reactions.
  5. From April 26-May 22nd McDonalds will have Super Mario toys in Happy Meals! There are 8 different toys; Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Metal Mario, 1-UP Mushroom and Red Koopa Shell.
  6. The DC Live Action TV universe just got bigger! A new digital streaming service will feature a new Titans series featuring Dick Grayson!
  7. 343 Studio Head Kiki Wolfkill has confirmed that Halo 6 will feature only Master Chief as a playable character in lieu of the backlash from Halo 5’s lack of Master Chief playtime.
  8. OverWatch players who hop into Blizzard’s MOBA Heroes of the Storm will have opportunities to receive free OverWatch gear, including unique and fan favorite Skins.
  9. Jeff Goldblum will reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm and appear in Jurassic World 2
  10. While Fate of the Furious is set to pass the $1 Billion mark before its second week at the Box Office (unadjusted for inflation), it is disappointingly low in terms of its (Cume), or the amount of tickets sold.

 Ron says: I’d like to vacation in the world of Viva Piñata! It’d be fun to help breed all of the animals and play with them and pet them.  I’d make my garden a utopia as more and more rare Piñatas came and joined my paradise.  Then, once I had enough Piñata’s, Id raise the iron bars surrounding the garden, bring out my baseball bat and go to fucking town on those piñatas! Beating candy out of them left and right! Grabbing smaller ones and ripping them in half with my bare hands, candy guts spilling out everywhere! Once I was done terrorizing them and had my fill I’d begin gathering up my sweet candy rewards.   Good times, good times.

Alan Says: I would like to visit the world of the Sims with full player controls still of course. Bow-chick-a wow! I might never leave!
